Notes: Located on what is now Crown Avenue at Ross Point in Fort Thomas, Kentucky (near Cincinnati in the Kentucky Highlands), the 3 1/2-story, brick, H-shaped, gambrel roofed, Altamont Hotel was built by Samuel Bigstaff as a summer resort around 1905.
In 1921, it was converted by the United States Public Health Service into hospital #69 for use by World War I veterans. In 1928, it was torn down.
This piece is a shard dug by Nick Horn in 2016 and crested with an upper case "A" within a bellflower wreath, with bow and ribbon at the bottom (#5000 Shoreham border). All decoration is in a gray green transfer, underglaze.
