The Carr China Company dated many of their pieces and did so in three different ways: with the full year, with two digits signifying the last two digits of the year (i,e, 42=1942), or with a simple letter/number date code in which the month was indicated with the letters A through L for January through December respectively and two digits indicating the year (ie A-42=January, 1942). The letter and number code may or may not be separated by a dash.
