Manufacturer: Carr China Company
User: BHS – Class of 1932
Date of plate: 1932
Notes: Like many other manufacturers, Carr China provided topmarked ware to local churches, clubs, and schools, ostensibly at a very reasonable cost in support of their community. Like an unknown Parsons High School '51 pattern, the best theory is that this china with the Class of 1932 topmark for an unknown B High School was likely a gift from the senior class to the school. But it is certainly a possibility that the plates were gifts of some kind for the graduating class.
There are many high schools in West Virginia that would have begun with a B – not to mention in the United States – so this topmark is not identified.
