Manufacturer: Carr China Company
Pattern: Early Glo-Tan Backstamp
Date of creamer: circa early 1930s
Notes: This is just a plain, double-lined cafe-style creamer, but we bought it for the unusual Glo-Tan backstamp. We can only imagine this must have preceded the sunburst that we're much more familiar with. No idea as to date, but it was probably the first backstamp for the tan ware. Here's the sunburst, for reference:
Editor's note: This entry comes from the Carr China website whose content has been transferred to the IDwiki. An effort was made on that site to capture as many examples produced by Carr as possible, and for that reason they might include more mystery patterns and topmarked pieces, or those that might not ordinarily be thought of strictly speaking as restaurant ware.
