Manufacturer: Wellsville China

Date of plate: 1956
Notes: There is a 2.5-mile strip of U.S. Route 30 that runs through West Virginia after leaving East Liverpool, Ohio, and running east to Pittsburgh. It was on this strip in Hancock County in Chester, W.V., that Club 30 was built in the late 1940s – early 1950s. It was built by gambling interests from Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Ohio, as an illegal casino. This was reportedly done in cooperation with the Hancock County sheriff at that time, who built a motel right across from Club 30. There was a room for dinner in the front (famous for its strawberry pie) and with a back room for gambling.
Cosmopolitan white-bodied plate, airbushed on the left side in bright red pink with the name Club 30.
