Manufacturer: Jackson China
Name of pattern: Dakota (Airbrushed Ducks)
Distributor: Frequently distributed by Kalberer Hotel Supply
Date of china: circa 1950s-1960s
Notes: This design with two airbrushed ducks in flight and reeds below is shown in a 1960 Jackson catalogue (shown above) as the Dakota pattern in a maroon color.
Variations on what seems to be the same pattern have been seen frequently, sometimes with a topmark, as in the examples above for Walt Failor's sporting goods store and soda fountain that was located in Aberdeen, Washington, and the plate with Wildlife in a script font. All of these are in the maroon – or pink – color. Other examples are the cup shown above with the design in charcoal gray and the platter in blue. It has also been seen in forest green. The design was used on both tan – Jac-Tan – and white clay bodies.
