Notes: Built in 1924, the hotel had its own radio station; the roof garden could seat 800 people with a 230-foot dance floor overlooking the ocean and Biscayne Bay.
The following is taken straight from an old ad for The Fleetwood: "In Miami Beach it's The Fleetwood, opening for the winter season January First, European Plan. An exclusive winter resort hotel, on Biscayne Bay, with ocean bathing, a private dock and every facility for the comfort and entertainment of its exclusive and discriminating clientele. Rates double from $8 to $20 per day. A la carte service and fixed price meals. A DeWitt operated hotel. Other DeWitt operated hotels include: Hollenden (Cleveland), La Salle or LaSalle (Chicago), Neil House (Columbus), Mayflower (Akron). Also Fenway Hall, Cleveland's high class residential hotel."
