Manufacturer: Carr China Company
User: Good Samaritan Hospital Alumnae
Pattern: Maythorne
Date of plate: circa 1934 – 1952
Notes: The simple circular topmark is set on a Glo-Tan Maythorne pattern plate.
The word "alumnae" is the Latin feminine plural for alumnus, and since back in the mid-20th century most nurses were women, it seems logical to assume that this plate was made for a school of nursing alumni association that was affiliated with a Good Samaritan Hospital. What we don't know: which one?!
