Note: This 110-room summer hotel (June 15-Sept. 15) was the last of the luxury resorts built in the Port Huron area, replacing the Windermere Hotel. It opened June 20, 1917 with the luxury amenities of the day: a heated pool, sailing, horseback riding, hiking, etc. The contents of the hotel were auctioned off on Oct. 30, 1969. The new owner razed part of the hotel and turned the remainder into 32 apartments.
