Notes: At the age of 19, Bill Darden opened the first Green Frog restaurant in 1938 on Lee Avenue in Waycross, GA. It was a luncheonette with seating for 20 guests that advertised "Service with a Hop." The Green Frog was a popular family-style restaurant with 10 stools, two booths and a drive-up service window, offering a variety menu of chicken, seafood, steak and frogs legs. From one small restaurant, Bill went on to found the Red Lobster and Darden Restaurants, a publicly-held company, which celebrated its 68th anniverary in 2006.
