Notes: Greyhound Lines was founded in Hibbing, Minnesota in 1914. They grew slowly for the next twenty years, then began marketing their services as an option to passenger trains.

The depicted vehicle is the "Supercoach" model 719 bus introduced in 1936; the Greyhound Lines logo appears on a 1937 ad.

This restaurant ware design appears to slightly predate that introduced in 1940 for the Greyhound Post House chain of restaurants, which offered a higher quality of food to the travelling public and local nightowls. This plate's topmark is still visible in the floor tile at the former Greyhound Terminal in Savannah, Georgia.
