Manufacturer: Maddock Pottery
User: Hotel Hampton – Albany, New York
Date of examples: circa 1908-1924
Notes: The eight-story, 200-room Hotel Hampton, near the corner of State and Broadway, opened before 1908. In 1923, a 100-room annex on Pearl Street was added. Over the years the Hampton contained a dining room, coffee shop, cocktail lounge, and ballroom. Around 2018, it was converted into 100 senior housing apartments.
Maddock produced a Lamberton China service for the Hampton that is crested with the hotel's eagle within a circle logo. The transfer border is shown in the Maddock pattern sample book as border #42.
