Notes: Located on Spring Garden Road, overlooking the beautiful Halifax (Nova Scotia, Canada) Public Gardens, this beautiful hotel was built of native materials by local people. Construction started in 1927, and the 7-floor, 200-room hotel opened October 23, 1928. The 8th and 9th floors were added in 1966 and the North Tower in 1975. This 4-star hotel is now the 260-room Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites.
