Manufacturer: Shenango China
Name of user: Louis Prima's Fairway to the Stars
Date of plate: 1968
Notes: From the Wikipedia: Louis Prima "was an American trumpeter, singer, entertainer, and bandleader." From the VintageLasVegas website: "Prima's estate at 279 E Warm Springs was home to a recording studio, headquarters for Prima Mangrooves Records, and the Fairway to the Stars golf course and country club, which he designed himself and opened Mar. '69. Prima moved to New Orleans in the early 70s, the country club changed hands and closed in '79 and was left abandoned in the 80s."
The plate has a crest in the center of the well divided into four sections in quintessential 1970s colors of aqua and avocado green, and includes images of trumpets and golf club made to resemble a stylized musical symbol – a sixteenth note.
