Manufacturer: Syracuse China
User: Maytag Company
Rim Pattern: Mistic
Date of plate: 1926
Notes: Border of plate contains the Mistic pattern. It was probably made for the corporate dining room in Newton, Iowa. The Parsons-Cutter & Self Feeder Company was sold to F. L. Maytag in 1893 and the Maytag Company was born. It became the center for one of the largest corporations of its time, starting as a threshing machine and farm implement company. The "Pastime" — shown — was the first washing machine produced by the Maytag company.
