Notes: The Montauk Yacht Club (MYC) was organized and incorporated in 1894 with two stations: Station 1 was located at 52nd Street & East River, New York City; Station 2 was located at Port Washington, Long Island, NY.
In 1929, the club's entrance fee was $250, the annual dues were $150 and the officers were: Commodore Carl G. Fisher; Vice-Commodore Walter P. Chrysler; Treasurer Robert Tyndall; and Secretary John M. Rutherford (Secretary's Address, 450 East 52nd Street, New York City).
The historic Montauk Yacht Club located in the County of East Hampton, New York on the South Fork of Long Island is undergoing a phased renovation by the Island Global Yachting (IGY) company. The resort is scheduled to complete the renovation in 2009 in time for its 80th Anniversary Celebration. Click here for the MYC website.
