Distributor: National Store Fixture Co. – Kansas City, Missouri
Date of examples: circa 1960s
Notes: Morgan's Restaurant & Lounge was located at 308 Blue Ridge Boulevard at the corner of Wilson Road in Independence, Missouri. Eddie Morgan was the host. With very few mentions of it found, when it opened and closed is not known, but according to a mention of an Independence Bar Association meeting to be held there – at Eddie's Morgan's Restaurant – in October 1963, it was obviously in business at least through that year, and a display ad was found for Morgan's House of Fine Foods, shown above, from Feb. 4, 1961.
White body plate with a black air-brushed band around the rim of the lower three quarters of the plate. At the top of the well is the word "Morgan's" in a black script font. In the center of the well is the restaurant's logo of a long-horned steer's head suspended on a skewer over a fire, all air-brushed. At the bottom of well are the words "House of Fine Foods" in black script font.
