Notes: Located on Dorrance Street in Providence, RI, this 7-Floor, 250-room hotel was built in 1878. On March 17, 1899, there was a fire in the basement that caused $25,000 in damages. Several people narrowly escaped from the hotel. During the infamous hurricane of 1938, there was furniture floating in about 6' of water in the lobby. The hotel fell into disrepair in the 1950s and was demolished in 1960.
Maddock – Lamberton China white body. Rusty red and blue design on rim. Native American with headdress, bow & arrow with arm holding a blue shield. The blue shield has an anchor design matching Rhode Island's Great Seal & flag.
