Notes: Located in the North American Building at 36 South State Street in Chicago, Illinois, the North American Restaurant was operated by Louis Eckstein and Abe Franks as a fine-dining establishment. The restaurant was one of the first in Chicago to have a first floor-show revue in 1915, presenting a number of themed vaudeville acts on the dance floor and a lowered stage.
