Per the Chicago Tribune, North Chicago Hospital was incorporated in 1906. It was founded as a private hospital by brothers Carl, Emil and Joseph Beck, all surgeons. Its building was located at 2551 N. Clark Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood and was built in 1928-29. It closed in 1945.

The hospital building was designated Chicago Landmark status in 2009.
