Notes: This stock pattern was used in the mid-1950s at the Colton Court hotel located on Beach Avenue in Cape May, New Jersey. Situated on the west-end beachfront, the original Colton Court consisted of two pre-1900 Victorian summer homes, joined together by a first-floor dining room and bedrooms above. Click here for a vintage postcard view of the Colton Court, owned by Mr. & Mrs. Rex J. Thomas from 1945 to circa 1970. The original hotel was razed in 1971 and replaced by the Colton Court Motor Inn, which remains in operation as of 2008.
