The Lion has a Queue-fourche or split tail and is holding a shield with three dots in it and a sword over a red, white & blue circle crest. Lamberton China white body decorated with a red & blue pinstripe around the rim.
This is actual military china used in the Officers' Dining Room and would not have been used by the regular troops.
