Manufacturer: Syracuse China
User: Pub Tiki
Date of example: 1964
Notes: Pub Tiki was located at 1718 Walnut Street, Philadelphia. A tiki style bar and nightclub, it opened in the 1950s and closed in 1977.
It was part of a chain of establishments, but this is the only location that used the Polynesian tiki theme. The interior featured a glowing map of the South Pacific and a waterfall. The '1 1/2' on the topmark may refer to the hour and a half of free parking they provided or the minimum one and one half shots in every drink they served.
Tan body, brown topmark 'Pub' and 'Tiki' with a Polynesian style totem in between containing the numbers '1 1/2'. Jackson China was another manufacturer of this pattern.
