Manufacturer: Carr China Company
User: R.H.Co. (possibly Reading Hardware Company)
Date of mug: 1936
Notes: Long an unidentified monogram, there's a possibility that this mug was used at the Reading Hardware Company in Reading, Pennsylvania.
From Trivetology.com: "The Reading Hardware Company was established in 1872 and continued in operation until 1950. It was an industrial leader in the United Sates from the 1880s to the late 1920s, producing both plain and ornamental architectural hardware for builders. Their castings were used in many noteworthy office buildings and hotels, including the White House in Washington, DC.
The company used a variety of logos featuring R H Co, and while this is close to some of the iterations, an exact match has not been found. However, the company's assertive use of advertising and its close proximity to Carr's general distribution area make it a good possibility.
