Notes: The Hotel Robinson was located in the historic mining town of Julian, CA and was one of the first businesses owned and operated by African-Americans within San Diego County. Albert Robinson & Margaret Tull Robinson started the Robinson Restaurant & Bakery in 1890. By 1897, the had turned the restaurant into a first class hotel. The logo is a variation of the California State Seal with "Hotel Robinson" at the top of the seal and "San Diego" at the bottom of the seal. The seal is set within green stemmed poppy flowers and the same poppy flower design is repeated around the top of the pitcher.
