Notes: The Hotel Ryde was built in 1927 in the heart of the Sacramento delta in Walnut Grove, CA. The hotel has seen many changes over the years: it has been a riverboat way station, a bordello, even a boarding house. The Lon Chaney Jr. family once owned the hotel.
