Manufacturer: Mayer China
Pattern name: Cresco
User: Skytop Lodge
Date of platter: 1939
Notes: Website: http://www.skytop.com. Located three miles north of Canadensis, Penn., Skytop Lodge sits atop a high plateau encompassing 5,500 acres in the Poconos and is still open today (2013).
The lodge opened in 1928 after three years of construction that included a golf course. John Stubbs, Frederic Smith, Earl Mayne and Sam Packer were the visionaries who built this magnificent resort. The entrance is two simple wooden towers that lead to a stone building that gives the impression of a castle.
Clusters of mauve pink and yellow flowers and leaves are arranged on the rim of the platter, with a single green line on the outer edge.
