Notes: The Sovereign was one of the grander Chicago hotels located at 1040 West Granville and Kenmore Avenue. Designed by architect Walter W. Ahlschlager, the hotel had a domed ballroom and overlooked Lake Michigan, but the landmark building is The Sovereign Apartments in 2009.
