SU is also a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. White body scalloped edge plate with a burnt orange stripe along the inner edge of the rim. The stripe is broken at the top of the plate by the insertion of the University's round seal which spills from mid-rim and flows down the verge. The seal, in burnt orange and black, contains the words "Syracuse University" around the top and the words "Founded A.D. 1870" around the bottom. In the center of the seal is a laurel wreath with a bow at the base. There is a Latin phrase that wraps over the top of the wreath.
