Notes: Thames Coffee Shoppe was located at 10 East 44th Street in New York City (between Madison and Fifth). When this establishment actually opened and closed is not known other than the bouillon cup in this entry was manufactured by Jackson China between 1965 and 1973. In addition, there are two listings in the New York Times -March 6, 1983, and July 29, 1984 – that note the Thames Coffee Shoppe was cited by the New York City Health Department for violations of the city's health code.
White body vitrified china with airbrushed black and pink bands around the edge except where the bands are interrupted by the logo for Thames. The logo is a black line drawing of London's Tower Bridge on the Thames River with the word "Thames" in black Old English script near the bottom of the drawing.
