Manufacturer: Carr China Company
User: The Triangle Diner
Date of shard: Unknown
Notes: This is a shard that was dug from the Carr plant, made for The Triangle Diner in Winchester, Va. The restaurant was locately due east — but over a torturously twisty mountain drive — from the pottery.
Per the wikipedia, The Triangle Diner was manufactured by the Jerry O'Mahony Diner Co., with traditional stainless steel exterior.
The diner was added to the Virginia Landmarks Register in 2009 and to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
Among its claims to fame is that Patsy Cline worked at the diner as a teenager.
As of 2011, it was undergoing a slow restoration; however, according to a story in the Winchester Star in 2018, no date has been set for reopening.
