Notes: Villaggio Italia was a 1960s Italian resort nestled in the Catskill Mountains, in Haines Falls, N.Y. It was regarded by some as the Neapolitan Grossinger's. It was a popular destination for Italians to escape Manhattan and enjoy wonderful Italian food and music, and participate in recreational activities such as bocce. Aldo DeBelardino was the proprietor of the resort hotel.
