Notes: Opened in Norwich, CT in 1855 with 100 rooms and increased over the years to 150 rooms. It became welfare housing in the 1960s and closed in 1989. In 1990, there was a fire on the top floor and the city condemned the building in 1996. By 1999, the building had become unstable and was almost torn down. In 2007, it provided 70 units of moderate income housing with four retail storefronts and a restored ballroom.
