Manufacturer: Syracuse China
User: Wells-Roberts Hotel Coffee Shop
Date of creamer: 1940
Notes: The Wells-Roberts Hotel was built in 1927 at 15 North Broadway in Oklahoma City, OK. It eventually became Roberts Hotel. It was destroyed in 1973 and the City Center Building expanded into its land.
As a measure of its one-time prominence, perhaps, the hotel served as the campaign headquarters in 1948 when Robert S. Kerr made his run for the U.S. Senate. Kerr had previously served as governor of Oklahoma before being elected three times to the senate.
The Econo-Rim creamer has a single medium green line and a brown shield divided into three sections diagonally. Inside the shield, "Wells-Roberts Coffee Shop" is contained in a blackletter font.
