Manufacturer: Iroquois China
Pattern: Georgian
Date of both pieces: Circa 1924 – circa 1940s
Notes: Shown on page 9 of an Iroquois China catalog from 1925, the print border design pattern was described: "As a truthful adaptation of the eighteenth century style, the Georgian is distinctive and possesses quaint charm and refinement. Its clean-cut design presents a delightful contrast to the clear blue-white of the ware." Patented in 1924 by R. E. Lukens, shown above, this catalog might have been Iroquois's introduction of the pattern to its customers.
The white bodied match stand has a blue line and border design featuring fruit bowls and swags of beads in brown/red. The plate is shown in black.
