User: Marlborough-Blenheim Hotel
Date of plate: 1907 – 1926
Notes: Located at the Boardwalk and Park Place in Atlantic City, N.J., the seven-story Marlborough Hotel, which opened in 1901, and the nine-story concrete Blenheim Hotel, which opened in 1905, remained in the Josiah White Family for their entire existence.
When the casino frenzy hit Atlantic City, the Marlborough-Blenheim closed it doors in October 1977. It was imploded on January 5, 1979, to make room for a Bally's Casino.
White body, green line around rim, multi-colored floral vine border, broken by a double shield with a lion, unicorn, crown and banners with Marlborough-Blenheim underneath.
