Manufacturer: Mayer China and Shenango China
Pattern Name: Nassau
Mayer – Date of egg cup: pre-1928
Shenango – Date of mustard pot: 1930s – early 1950s
Notes: This pattern is commonly associated with Horn & Hardart Automats. Unless it is specifically backstamped with the Horn & Hardart name, it cannot be assumed that it is anything more than an attractive stock pattern. Please see the Horn & Hardart Automat under Iconic Establishments for more detailed information.
White body with deep green Art Nouveau flowers, swags and swirls. There is a subtle difference between these two Nassau patterns, with the Shenango version being less detailed, more open, and seemingly more modern (owing to its more contemporary time frame).
