Notes: Located in Kansas City, Missouri, the Hotel President opened in 1926. Its Drum Room featured entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman and Harry Houdini. The hotel also served as the headquarters for the 1928 Republican National Convention at which Herbert Hoover was nominated for president.

The Hotel President was closed circa 1981 and then listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. In 2006, it was restored and reopened as the Hilton President Kansas City.
